Meet the owner: Giovanna Trew

I moved to London at the age of 18 and began working with children while still in my teens. While studying Graphic Design, I combined my education with full-time nannying, gaining invaluable hands-on experience caring for children of different ages and supporting families in their daily lives.

After several years as a full-time nanny, I decided to pursue my passion for early childhood education and enrolled in Early Years Education studies. During this time, I met my business partner, Gina Browning, who was also a local nanny. Together, we shared a vision of creating a warm, nurturing, and high-quality childcare service, which led to the establishment of Kew Giggles.

In 2013, Gina relocated to Bristol with her family, and I took full ownership and management of Kew Giggles Childminders. Since then, I have continued to grow and develop the business while remaining committed to providing exceptional care and education for young children.

Professional development has always been a priority for me. Over the years, I have completed a wide range of specialist training courses to deepen my knowledge of children’s early development. My qualifications include a Level 5 qualification in Early Years Leadership and Management, Montessori for Childminders and Home-Based Settings, along with many other professional development courses that enhance the quality of care we provide.

In 2018, I proudly expanded Kew Giggles by opening our second setting. Today, we successfully operate from two locations, continuing to offer a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment where children can learn, grow, and thrive.
